Victim Services
The Victim Service Division of the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office is available to help if you or someone you know has been the victim of a crime. A full range of assistance is offered to crime victims in St. Louis County including:
• Advocacy
• Education and preparation for the steps in the criminal justice system
• Information and referral to community resources
• Crisis intervention and emotional support
• Courtroom escort on criminal proceedings
• Information on Crime Victims’ Compensation application
• Information on police procedures during an investigation
• Transportation, when requested, to court appearances when called upon to testify
• Information on restitution in criminal cases
• Community Education

Services include intimate partner violence crisis intervention, support groups, professional therapy, and counseling. Short-term emergency sanctuary is provided if all DV shelters are full and intake criteria are met **AII services are free and available to all genders.

Services include intimate partner and sexual violence crisis intervention, support groups, professional therapy, and counseling for survivors ages 12 & up. Referrals for support services available via crisis helpline met **AII services are free and available to all genders.
Legal Advocates for Abused Women (LAAW)
LAAW provides legal information regarding Orders of Protection, referrals, advocacy, safety planning, divorce, and custody. In addition, LAAW specializes in providing free legal representation at Order of Protection hearings for victims of abuse. Must meet certain criteria to qualify for services.
Legal Services of Eastern Missouri
Provides free legal counsel, advice, and representation in civil cases, including orders of protection, divorce, custody, paternity, and modification. Also provides comprehensive, coordinated services to clients through social service referrals and case management. Must meet certain criteria to qualify for services.
Life Source Consultants, Inc.
Located in North County. Provides counseling and other support services for women who are victims of domestic and/or sexual violence. Specialized programming is offered for women of color, women in recovery from substance abuse, women with disabilities, women over 50, and teenage girls.

A project of the National Network to End Domestic Violence, providing legal information and support to victims of Intimate partner and sexual violence.
Crime Victim's Compensation
Missouri Crime Victim's Compensation Program: Victims of violent crimes may be eligible for compensation for medical costs, counseling costs, and lost wages. Property losses are not covered.
