Culvert Repairs

The City of Webster Groves has met with consultants to discuss a design to fix thethe Elm at Kirkham culvert. The design for the fix is expected to reach the Council this fall. While the project is estimated to cost roughly $1.5 million, the Public Works Department has secured a federal grant for 1.2 million resulting in the City’s portion being roughly $300,000. It is likely that the City’s portion will be paid through the MSD Operation Maintenance Construction Improvement tax funds. Construction is expected to begin in 2027.

Private Streets/Public Street

The City of Webster Groves has a number of privately owned and maintained streets. The City has recently adopted a policy for those interested in converting a private street into a public street for City maintenance. You can view the policy here. If all of the code requirements are met, please contact the Public Works department to make a request.
